While the Human Genome Project announced its ‘completion’ in the early 2000s, genomic researchers weren’t able to sequence the final stretches of our genome until the 2022. We set out to describe, in an accessible and engaging manner for a general audience. the challenges that researchers overcame to reach the finish line.
